2. Real tree or Artificial?
When I was younger I would insist on a real tree, but now that my parents are older and traveling more, and I am more aware of the environmental impact, artificial is fine for me, though I do miss the pine scent.
3. When do you put up the tree?
Usually halfway through December.
4. When do you take the tree down?
Up to my parents. They usually do a few days after New Year's

Haven't had enough to say.
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
When I was probably about 6 or 7 my aunt got me this space station set with 6 astronauts and two aliens. It's had a UFO-style spaceship, and the base had two gun turrets and an elevator that moved with cranks. Oh, and two vehicles, I think.
7. Hardest person to buy for?
Tie between my dad and my sister. My dad never NEEDS anything and my sister always wants expensive stuff.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Nope. Not Christian.

Mail, though they go to close friends and family.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
When I was 18 dad got me a guide to the US colleges. No, really. And after I knew MSU was my first choice and CMU my second.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I have five DVDs I must watch every year (in no particular order), Gremlins, The Nightmare Before Christmas, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Scrooged, and the South Park DVD with their first two Xmas episodes. I call them my "black Xmas" collection.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
I usually start shopping before Thanksgiving, to help spread the bills around. This year I have everyone bought for except for Matt and Cyndi, my extended-family present, and Scott and Andy.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
No, but I have given/sold some away to friends.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
At least once during that time my mom makes this amazing quiche, it's got cranberries, sausage, and onions in it.

Homo Christmas - Pansy Division, All I Want For Christmas is You (the drag queen potential alone!) - Mariah Carrey, Little Drummer Boy (because at work instead of barum-pum-pum-pum it becomes "Hey look at my bum!"

Travel to my parents' home, does that count?

Star usually.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Jer and I open each other's present on Xmas eve, the family is Xmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Greedy consumerism and driving.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
I tend to like pop-culture ornaments the best. One of my all-time favorites is one of Kermit on a toboggan, which gets angled down so it looks like he's going downhill. We have one of Homer and Marge where he's holding a mistletoe over here and it's just SO damn cute. Also a Lion King one where you can plug a light into the back of it and it makes the sun rise and set.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Whatever the 'rents cook.
